QuSoft released the 3.0.3 Professional version of QuickReport
today on their web site. They had announced October 19th that
they would be releasing version 3.0.4 today, but stated on
their web site that "due to circumstances out of our control
we have to wait another few days to release this version".
The 3.0.3 version includes two new export filters, a RichText
(RTF) filter (RTF), and a Windows metafile (WMF) filter. The
3.0.3 version is also reported to include a number of bug
fixes and fixes for memory leaks. QuSoft stated that
version 3.0.2 fixed 35 bugs, but it is not clear which bugs
were fixed in version 3.0.2 and what additional bugs were
fixed in this new release.
QuSoft intends to release the Standard version of QuickReport
3.0.3 on October 26th. This is the version that is bundled
with Delphi 4.
Developers waiting for an updated help file will have to wait
longer. One of our readers reported that the help file still
says "This help file mainly covers QuickReport 2. To download
an updated help file and documentation please point your web
browser to http://www.qusoft.com." Qusoft's web site does
not contain this file.
